Maybe? Because his ban was backdated, he’s not actually been out of competition for that long (relatively speaking). Although training is no substitute for race situations and readyness, it’s easy enough to believe he’ll probably still be quite formidable upon his return.
He has reconnoiteredall the tricky stage finishes at the Vuelta, so he’s more than prepared to take it on. Definitely going there with the intent to win but, as always, we have to wait and see how the race unfolds!
