Jan Ullrich competes in the Oetztaler Radmarathon in Oetztal on August 28, 2011. Germany’s 1997 Tour de France winner Jan Ullrich, who announced his retirement in 2007 after being linked to the Operation Puerto raid which exposed him to a doping scandal in May 2006 and saw him sacked by his team T-Mobile in July 2006, returned to cycling after an absence, going long-distance cycling in Tyrol, western Austria on August 28.
